Hello World (Planet?)
Greeted with an email from Jeff this morning about being added to Planet GNOME. Feeling the pressure of the limelight, but too tired to wax intelligent.
Spent a good portion of the day fixing pyatspi bugs for Eitan’s 0.1.2 release of accerciser. He’s got the first project successfully using the this “official” Python/AT-SPI binding now. Need to make it a success so LSR, Orca, and others can migrate.
Continued to follow the chatter about magnification in Beryl/Compiz. Stumbled across Henrik’s blog post about the original idea. Took fifteen minutes to address one of the shortcomings he noted about having a screen reader drive a dummy magnifier component: no interactive zooming without first showing a settings dialog. We now at least have hotkeys in LSR for zooming in/out. There’s potential for binding the commands to mouse gestures in the future too.
Worked on some more LSR bug fixes in preparation for 0.5.2 release on Monday. Just a few more small tasks to go before we’re ready.
