Continued to clean up the draft LSR Web UI spec after receiving quality feedback from mag, Braille, and speech users, and other AT developers. Going to invite wider public review in our next LSR release announcement.
On that topic, spent some time today getting ready to make our 0.5.2 release on Monday for GNOME 2.19.2. Same last minute Firefox support fixes from Scott. Man, he managed to hack out some major features quickly. I guess having Mozilla as your sugar daddy motivates you.
Still playing with an accessibility validation plug-in for Accerciser. Have to port the code I had to pyatspi now that Eitan has migrated complete to this library for his 0.1.2 release. I’m intrigued by the great responsiveness I get in the GUI when I chunk the validation work using Python generators. I know this is an old concept (e.g., Kiwi Tasklets), but I’m wondering what incarnation the idea might take both in Accerciser in general to make it more responsive when navigating the tree view, and in LSR for long-running operations. I’ve got some investigation to do here.
Off work a bit early. (It’s Friday.) Tended to the lawn and flowers. Kept Zora outside with me the whole time to burn off some of her energy. Bought a copy of Dune for some weekend reading while Jackie is away. (No, I’ve never read it.)
